Golf Notebook Privacy Policy
Golf Notebook is designed as a personal golf learning and memory notebook. We believe a personal notebook should remain personal.
1. App Data Collection
The current version of Golf Notebook does not transmit your notebook entries or app-managed practice videos to Golf Notebook developer-operated servers.
The app does not require an account or sign-in and does not include third-party advertising networks or third-party analytics SDKs in the current release.
Golf Notebook does not use your notebook activity for cross-app tracking and does not sell personal information.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
Information you choose to create or use inside Golf Notebook may include practice notes, golf learning notes, personal cues and focus points, round information, plans and reminders, app preferences, and media created for personal comparison features.
This information is intended to remain in the app’s local storage on your device as part of the app’s functionality.
Depending on your Apple device and backup settings, locally stored app information may also be included in backups managed by Apple. Those backups are controlled through your Apple account and device settings and are not Golf Notebook cloud sync.
3. Camera, Microphone and Notifications
Golf Notebook may request access to an Apple device feature only when you choose to use a function that requires it.
The camera is used when you choose to record Before and Retest practice video. The microphone may record ambient sound with that video. Notifications may be used for reminders that you choose to create.
You can review or change app permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Granting a device permission does not by itself mean that Golf Notebook sends that information to us.
4. Golf-Course Search
Golf Notebook uses Apple MapKit search to help you find golf-course names. Search requests may be processed by Apple’s map services.
Golf Notebook does not operate a server that collects or retains those golf-course search requests. Apple services may process information according to Apple’s applicable privacy practices and your device settings.
5. Tracking, Advertising and Analytics
The current release does not include developer-operated cross-app tracking, third-party advertising networks, or third-party analytics SDKs.
Apple may separately process information through the App Store, iOS, MapKit, device services, backups, or other Apple services according to Apple’s own terms and privacy practices.
6. Your Control, Retention and Deletion
You control the information you enter into Golf Notebook. Use the deletion controls available in the app to remove records you no longer want to keep.
Locally stored notebook information may remain on your device until you delete it or delete the app. If you delete Golf Notebook, the app does not provide a Golf Notebook cloud service that can restore data that existed only in the app’s local storage.
Device-level backup or restore may operate separately under Apple and your device settings.
7. Support Requests
If you voluntarily contact Golf Notebook support by email, the email address and message content you choose to send may be processed so we can respond to your request.
Support email is not automatically linked to your notebook entries or app-managed videos. Support correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request or meet applicable legal or operational requirements.
8. Children’s Privacy
Golf Notebook is not specifically designed for the App Store Kids category. The current app does not operate user accounts or developer servers that collect notebook content from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
If Golf Notebook’s data practices change in a future version — for example through cloud backup, analytics, external AI processing, user accounts, advertising, or third-party SDKs — this Privacy Policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated accordingly.
